The influence of social media on tourism and their use on overturism

Abstract:

Turečková, Nikola: Vliv sociálních sítí na cestovní ruch a jejich využití na overturismus. Bakalářská práce. Newton College a.s. Praha. Ústav ekonomiky a managementu. Vedoucí práce: Ing. František Zjevík, DiS. Praha 2021 Hlavním záměrem práce je posouzení vlivu sociálních sítí na cestovní ruch a jakými jejich prvky bychom je mohli využít na overturismus. Zmapování současných názorů Generace Z týkající se cestování. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, a to část teoretickou a praktickou. První část se věnuje v teoretické části popisu definicí týkající se cestovního ruchu, jeho druhy a formami, a jaké jsou současně cestovatelské trendy. Následně se teorie zaobírá předmětem sociálních sítí, jejich historií a vznikem, jaké jsou nejpoužívanější sítě v oblasti cestovního ruchu a jejich dopad na overturismus. Praktická část se dále zabývá problematikou overturismu, jaký důsled mají sociální sítě na tento globální problém. Dále je tato část cílena na generaci Z a její vztah k sociálním sítím, co se týče cestování a do jaké míry je ovlivňují při výběru destinace či výletu. V práci jsou monitorovány sociální sítě jako je Instagram, Facebook a Youtube. Rozebrány jsou také pojmy jako instafriendly místa a travel blogeři. Použitou metodikou je dotazníkové šetření, kdy jsou otázky směřovány na již zmíněnou, cílovou generaci Z. V závěrečně části jsou výsledky a zhodnocení tohoto dotazníkového průzkumu.

Abstract:

The main point of this thesis is to assess the impact of the social media on tourism and their use to eliminate overturism. Analyzing the current views of Generation Z on their travels. This thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical and the practical one. The first section is devoted to description related to tourism, its types and forms and what are the current trends in this field. In another part thesis is following up the subject of social networks, its history and origin, what are the most used social networking websites in tourism field and their impact on overturism. The practical part of this thesis is focused on matter of question tourism, what consequences the social media could have on this global problem. In another part thesis devote oneself to Generation Z and their relationship towards social media regarding traveling, how big leverage they have when it comes to the decision where to go on holiday or trips. For a research the selected media are Instagram, Facebook and Youtube. Monograph also focused on concepts of instafriendly places, travel bloggers and more. For the research resources are created a questionnaire where the questions are focusing on already mentioned Generation Z. In conclusion the results of survey are displayed and evaluated and then proposed a solutions and ways how to help this question.
