Identification and Management of Positive/ Negative Factors Influencing the Implementation of a Business Strategic Plan

Anotace:

This thesis reviews how companies can identify and manage positive and negative factors, influencing Business strategic plan. Business strategic plan, being a part of Strategic management, sets the right direction to the company and brings a lot of benefits, such as sustainable competitive advantage, profit and greater market share. There are many factors influencing Business strategic plan, and companies have to react on them. The purpose of this thesis is to prove the existence of strong relation between the implementation of Business strategic plan and various factors in internal and external environments, which urges organizations to adjust or to develop a completely new Business strategic plan, if they want to achieve or to sustain existing competitive advantage. Proving this objective is topical, because the importance of Business strategic plan is known for long time, but the revision of Strategic plans doesn’t get as much attention as it should. In the first part of the thesis author analysed existing theoretical knowledge about Business strategic plan and possible positive and negative factors, that influence Business strategic plan throughout the whole lifecycle. In the second part the author applied theoretical knowledge to the existing IT company – NNIT A/S. The company was on its transitional period between evaluation the results of the previous Strategic plan, formulation of the new one (considering the old Strategic plan), and finally it is in the beginning of its implementation. Business strategic plan was found to influence the company’s performance significantly. In the concluding part of the thesis, the author provides some recommendations for the company that are suggested to be useful for its future development.
