Maps for the Geography education at high schools on interactive whiteboards

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tvorbou nekomerčních map pro výuku zeměpisu na interaktivních tabulích na gymnáziích. Postup vytvoření map je uveden ve všech stádiích – práce zahrnuje popis volně dostupných použitých dat a softwarů, pohled na současnou situaci ve výuce - Rámcový vzdělávací program pro gymnázia a použití interaktivní tabule, názory a požadavky pedagogů (formou dotazníku a konzultace), především však metodiku, jak požadované mapy vytvořit, i slepé cesty a úskalí, které to obnáší. Dále jsou zde uvedena doporučení pro další tvorbu map. Jednou z příloh je DVD-R, které obsahuje původní databázi, shapefile a výsledné projekty (mapy Severní Ameriky) pro další použití.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the creation of non-commercial maps for teaching geography to interactive whiteboards in high schools. How to create maps is given at all stages – the work includes a description of the freely available data and software, look at the current situation in education - Framework Education Programme for High School and use an interactive whiteboard, the views and demands of teachers (in the form of a questionnaire and consultation), but particularly the methodology as required to create maps, and an impasse and difficulties that entail. Then, there are also recommendations for further production of maps. One of the attachments is a DVD-R, which contains the original database, and the resulting shapefile projects (maps of North America) for further use.
