Model examples of planting trees in paved areas

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou výsadeb stromů do zpevněných ploch městského prostředí. Práce se zaměřuje na alternativní postupy snoubící výsadbu s řešením využití dešťové vody na principech modrozelené infrastruktury a rozšíření prokořenitelného prostoru. Součástí je rozbor obdobných opatření, výhody i úskalí, možnosti a limity uplatnění těchto systémů. Práce se zaměřuje i na porovnání praxe v Česku a zahraničí. Nosnou částí práce je řešení modelových příkladů vybraných ulic, náměstí a parkovišť na příkladech města Kroměříže. Cílem je ukázat obecné příklady, které je možné využít i v jiných městech. Snahou je zohlednit veškeré aktivity v území a vytvořit kvalitní prostor schopný adaptace na změnu klimatu a zvýšení atraktivity území. Součástí je detailní studie řešení obnovy konkrétního stromořadí v Kroměříži s využitím principů modrozelené infrastruktury. Práce přímo navazuje a rozvíjí bakalářskou práci autora s názvem Specifika výsadeb stromů ve zpevněných plochách.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of planting trees in paved areas of the urban environment. This work focuses on alternative procedures combining planting with a solution for the use of rainwater based on the principles of blue-green infrastructure and the expansion of rooting space. It includes an analysis of similar measures, advantages and pitfalls, possibilities and limits of the application of these systems. The thesis also focuses on the comparison of practice in the Czech Republic and abroad. The supporting part of the work is the solution of model examples of selected streets, squares and parking lots based on the examples of the city of Kroměříž. The aim is to show general examples that can be used in other cities as well. The effort is to take into account all activities in the territory and to create a quality space capable of adapting to climate change and increasing the attractiveness of the territory. Part of it is a detailed study of a solution for the restoration of a specific tree line in Kroměříž using the principles of blue-green infrastructure. The work directly follows and develops the author's bachelor's thesis entitled Specifics of planting trees in paved areas.
