Comparison of cash development in Sweden and the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na srovnání vývoje hotovosti ve Švédsku a Česku. Teoretická část obsahuje obecnou charakteristiku pojmu platebního styku. Poté je rozebrána charakteristika hotovostního platebního styku a následně samotné hotovosti. Dále je rozebrán historický vývoj hotovosti. Ve druhé a třetí kapitole jsou popsány platební zvyklosti Švédska a ČR. Praktická část se v následujícím textu zaměřuje na statistické a grafické porovnání využití hotovosti v obou státech, a to v období od roku 2000 do roku 2022. Pro možnost srovnání jsou číselné hodnoty uvedené v práci převedeny na společný ekvivalent měnu EUR. V práci je využita metoda analýzy časových řad.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on a comparison of cash development in Sweden and the Czech Republic. The theoretical part contains a general characterization of the concept of payment. Then the characteristics of cash payments and then cash itself are discussed. The historical development of cash is then discussed. In the second and third chapter, the payment practices of Sweden and the Czech Republic are described. The practical part of the paper then focuses on a statistical and graphical comparison of cash usage in the two countries from 2000 to 2022. For the purpose of comparison, the numerical values presented in the paper have been converted into the common equivalent currency EUR. The time series analysis method is used in the thesis.
