Current problems of forwarding services and their analysis with a focus on KEB services

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o aktuálních problémech zasílatelských služeb na příkladu několika vybraných společností, které se věnují právě kurýrním, expresním a balícím službám. Konkrétně se bude jednat o Českou poštu, PPL, DHL, Geis a DPD. V teoretické části jsou definovány některé základní teoretické pojmy vztahující se k této problematice, jako je logistika, logistické činnosti, služby, zasílatel/speditér a další. Praktická část začíná analýzou poskytovaných služeb výše zmíněných společností. Cílem práce je jednak stanovit aktuální problémy vybraných společností z pohledu zákazníka, a to pomocí dotazníkového šetření, které následuje po úvodní analýze služeb. Dále také zjištění, jak se k těmto problémům staví společnost, jež z výzkumu vzejde jako nejproblémovější, k čemuž bude využit navazující individuální polostrukturovaný rozhovor s konkrétním zaměstnancem. V neposlední řadě je cílem stanovit návrhy k eliminaci zjištěných problémů, kterými je tato práce zakončena.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with current problems of forwarding services on the example of several selected companies that deal with courier, express and packaging services. Specifically, it will be the Czech Post, PPL, DHL, Geis and DPD. The theoretical part defines some basic theoretical concepts related to this issue, such as logistics, logistics activities, services, freight forwarder and others. The practical part begins with an analysis of the services provided by the above companies. The aim of the work is to determine the current problems of selected companies from the customer's point of view, using a questionnaire survey, which follows the initial analysis of services. Furthermore, finding out how the company, which emerges from the research as the most problematic, responds to these problems, for which a follow-up individual semi-structured interview with a specific employee will be used. Last but not least, the aim is to set proposals to eliminate the identified problems, which concludes this work.
