NATO expansion after year 2000 in connection with the current security situation in Europe.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje situaci rozšiřování NATO po roce 2000 v souvislosti s aktuální bezpečnostní situací v Evropě. Problematika se zaobírá nejdůležitějším tématem mezinárodního prostředí 21. století a geopolitického rozložení doposud suverénního státu Ukrajiny. Celkový vliv a význam Severoatlantické organizace se zhodnotí pomocí analýzy vývoje členských zemí a historického kontextu. Práce se zaměří na bezpečnostní strategie a rozšiřování Severoatlantické aliance v návaznosti na vztahy s Ruskou federací. Praktická část zhodnocuje aktuální bezpečnostní situaci v návaznosti na probíhající válku na Ukrajině a její vliv na bezpečnostní situaci v Evropě. Závěr práce se soustředí na dotazník, který vyhodnotí vnímání bezpečnosti v České republice mezi civilním obyvatelstvem a vojenskými respondenty.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the situation of NATO enlargement after 2000 in the context of the current security situation in Europe. The issue deals with the most important topic of the international environment of the 21st century and the geopolitical distribution of the hitherto sovereign state of Ukraine. The overall influence and significance of the North Atlantic Organization will be evaluated through an analysis of the development of member countries and historical context. The thesis will focus on the security strategies and expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance in relation to relations with the Russian Federation. The practical part will assess the current security situation in relation to the ongoing war in Ukraine and its impact on the security situation in Europe. Finally, the thesis focuses on a questionnaire that evaluates the perception of security in the Czech Republic among the civilian population and military respondents
