Income inequality - recent pehonmenon?

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Příjmová nerovnost – fenomén poslední doby?“ je analýza příčin růstu příjmové nerovnosti ve vyspělých zemích od 80. let 20. století do současnosti. Práce si klade za cíl identifikaci faktorů, které v posledních desetiletích ovlivňují distribuci příjmů ve společnosti, a to především v kontextu role státu a jeho hospodářské politiky. První část představuje teoretické vymezení problému, druhá podává stručný přehled základních příčin vzniku příjmové nerovnosti, zatímco třetí kapitola se věnuje faktorům determinujícím růst příjmové nerovnosti. Poslední část práce pak představuje jakési shrnutí dosažených výsledků a jejich zhodnocení.

Abstract:

The goal of the thesis: "Income inequality – recent phenomenon?" is to analyze the causes of the growth of income inequality in developed countries from 80´s to the present. The aims of this text are to identify factors that have been affecting the distribution of income in society in recent decades, especially in the context of the role of government and its economic policies. The first part presents the theoretical definition of the problem; the second gives a brief overview of the basic causes of income inequality, while the third chapter deals with the factors determining the growth of income inequality. Last section presents a summary of results and their evaluation.
