An analysisi of injury incidence of rugby players

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na zmapování zranění při hře ragby u hráčů nejvyšší soutěže v České republice, zjištění nejčastějších druhů zranění, četnosti těchto zranění, doby léčení a nalezení souvislosti mezi druhem zranění, segmenty těla a herní pozicí hráče na hřišti a také herní situací, při které v průběhu zápasu či tréninku nejčastěji ke zranění dochází. Bakalářská práce by měla také potvrdit či vyvrátit výsledky některých doposud známých studií. K získání dostatečného množství informací bylo využito dotazníkového šetření mezi hráči ragbyových klubů v České republice. Celkem bylo vyhodnoceno 128 dotazníků. Analýzou dat jsem došel k závěru, poranění úzce souvisí s herní pozicí hráče a jeho úlohou na hřišti. U rojníků se můžeme nejčastěji setkat s vykloubením a tržnými ranami, u útočníků a spojek zase s poškozením svalů a vazů. Z pohledu rozdělení těla na základní anatomické části jsou nejzranitelnějším místem dolní končetiny. K nejvyššímu počtu zranění došlo během hry při skládání. Zmapování úrazů typických pro ragby v bližších souvislostech a získané poznatky, mohou být přínosem pro trenéry, fyzioterapeuty a především samotné hráče v oblasti prevence zdraví a regenerace, využívání ochranných pomůcek, při vedení tréninku i utkání.

Abstract:

This bachleor thesis focuses on mapping the injury of players of the highest competition in the Czech Republic, finding the most common types of injuries, the frequency of these injuries, duration of its treatment and finding a connection between the type of injury, body segments and game position of a player on the field as well as game situations, under which most injuries occur during a match or training. This bachleor thesis should also confirm or disprove the results of some prior known studies. A questionnaire survey done among rugby players in the Czech Republic was used to obtain sufficient information. A total of 128 questionnaires were evaluated. Due to data analysis I concluded that injury is closely related to gaming position of the player and his role on the pitch. For forwards the most common injury is dislocation and lacerations, backs and halfs mostly suffer from muscles and ligaments damage. In terms of the body distribution to the basic anatomical parts the most vulnerable points are lower limbs. The highest number of injuries during the game happen when folding. Mapping the injuries typical for the game of rugby in closer ties and acquired knowledge can be beneficial for coaches, physiotherapists and especially the players in the field of health prevention and regeneration, protective equipment use in the management of training and matches.
