Floods in Uherské Hradiště and the Surrounding Area

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá povodněmi a ochranou před nimi, obzvláště v povodí řeky Moravy, na středním toku řeky v oblasti Uherskohradišťska. Dále se zaměřuje na vybrané historické povodně, které nastaly v královském městě Uherské Hradiště a jeho okolí od roku 1522. Teoretická část obsahuje popis historie povodní a aspektů vodních toků, samotnou definici povodně, její typy, meteorologické faktory pro vznik povodně, stupně povodňového nebezpečí, v neposlední řádě i ochranu před povodněmi. Dále tato část obsahuje pojem riziko, který je popsán z pohledu mimořádné události, vymezení pojmů povodňové nebezpečí a povodňové riziko. Praktická část zpracovává jak podklady poskytnuté Slováckým muzeem z hlediska historie povodní, tak i podklady poskytnuté městským úřadem Uherské Hradiště, z nichž vychází popsání a následné zhodnocení povodně z roku 1997. Dále tato část zpracovává podklady týkající se analýzy středního toku řeky Moravy poskytnuté povodím Moravy a městem Uherské Hradiště. Přílohová část je rozsáhlejší, jelikož obsahuje vícero obrázků pro dokreslení zpracovávaného tématu. Při zpracování práce jsem využila následujících metod: - historická metoda - metoda pro zpracování historie povodní na území Uherskohradišťska, dohledání povodní z dobových kronik, starých výtisků novin, v odborných publikacích poskytnutých Slováckým muzeem; - sociologická metoda - rozhovoru a formou dotazníku, pro získání výpovědí občanů; - metoda interpretace snímků a leteckých snímků - použité snímky z povodně z roku 1997 (vlastní zdroj) a leteckých snímků z povodně (zdroj městský úřad Uherské Hradiště), a jiné.

Abstract:

This work deals with the floods and protection from them, especially in the basin of the Morava river, the middle reaches of the river in the area of Uherské Hradiště region. It then focuses on selected historical floods that occurred in the royal city of Uherské Hradiště and its surroundings from the year 1522. The theoretical part contains a description of the history of flooding and aspects of the waterways, the very definition of floods, its types, meteorological factors for the emergence of flooding, degree of flood hazard, in the last row and flood protection. Furthermore, this part contains the concept of risk, which is described from the perspective of extraordinary events, definition of terms flood hazard and flood risk. The practical part handles how the evidence provided by the Slovácko museum from the point of view of the history of the flood, and the evidence provided by the municipality Uherské Hradiště, which is based on the description and subsequent evaluation of the floods of 1997. Furthermore, this section prepares documents related to the analysis of the middle reaches of the river Moravia provided by the catchment area of Moravia and the town of Uherské Hradiště. The annex part is more extensive, as it contains multiple images for the final touch of the processed topic. I use the methods: - the historical method a method for processing history of floods on the territory of the uherské hradiště region, the trace of the floods from the contemporary chronicles, old copies of newspapers and in specialist publications provided by the moravian-slovakia dialect of the museum; - sociological method - an interview and in the form of a questionnaire, to obtain the testimony of citizens; - the method of interpretation of imagery and aerial photographs used images from the floods of 1997 (own source) and aerial images of the floods (source city office of Uherské Hradiště), and others.
