Tato bakalářská práce má nejenom za cíl poukázat čtenářům na všechny známá fakta, které spojují fantastický svět Johna Ronalda Reuela Tolkina a lidskou historii, ale také předvést, jak dokonalá jeho díla jsou. V jednotlivých kapitolách si probereme nejvýznamnější rasy, které obývaly Středozem a ukážeme si na nich, odkud čerpal autor své jedinečné nápady. This bachelor work doesn´t have just the target in the pointing the known facts which link J. R. R. Tolkien´s fantastic world but also to show how perfect his work is. In each chapter we go through the most important races who occupied the Middle-earth and we will demonstrate on them from where Tolkien had got his one and only ideas.
