Philosophical reflection of violence and authority in texts far-right groups

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je rozbor problematiky násilí a autority v dílech Hannah Arendtové a Jacquese Derridy a jejich odraz v extremistické hudební scéně. Pokusím se vylíčit násilí a autoritu přítomné v myšlení Arendtové a Derridy a dále sledovat, jak odkaz násilí a autority nesou současné extremistické kapely. Vymezím tedy charakteristiky extremismu a zaměřím se na hnutí českých skinheads, přičemž zvláštní pozornost budu věnovat rozboru textů českých hudebních skupin, u kterých se objevuje tématika autority a násilí. Postavím vedle sebe skupiny Ortel, Randall Gruppe, Florian Geyer a Sons of Bohemia a vyhodnotím jejich vztah k problematice násilí a autority.

Abstract:

The objective of the thesis is to analyse the issue of violence and authority in the works of Hannah Arendt and Jacques Derrida and their reflection in extremist music scene. I will try to portray violence and authority presented in the thoughts of Arendt and Derrida and watch for link of violence and authority carried by the current extremist bands. I will define the characteristics of extremism and will focus on the czech skinhead movement, with special attention paid to text analysis of czech musical groups that develop themes of authority and violence. I will compare the groups Ortel, Randall Gruppe, Florian Geyer and Sons of Bohemia and I will evaluate their relationship to issues of violence and authority.
