Diplomová práca sa zaoberá skúmaním menovej politiky Federálneho rezervného systému a jej dopadu na vývoj cien komodít. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na teoretické poznatky o menovej politike vo všeobecnosti. Druhá kapitola prináša prehľad o americkej centrálnej banke a jej krokov počas finančnej krízy.
