The political situation of Venezuela and it’s impact on the economic development of the country

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Politická situace Venezuely a její dopad na hospodářský rozvoj země“ je zhodnocení současné hospodářské a politické situace v zemi. Klíčové je posouzení, zda uskutečněné reformy přispívají k ekonomickému rozvoji země. První část je teoretická a uvádí přístupy k ekonomickému rozvoji a modely ekonomického růstu. Druhá část se zaměřuje na reformy uskutečněné za vlády Huga Cháveze. Dále je zhodnocuje a srovnává s vládami minulými a zeměmi regionu. V poslední části je pak analyzována a vyhodnocována fiskální a monetární politika.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis: “The political situation of Venezuela and its impact on the economic development of the country“ is the evaluation of current economical and political situation in the country. The crucial point is to assess whether the implemented reforms conducive to economic development of the country. The first part is theoretical and mentions approaches to the economic development and economic growth models. The second part focuses on the reforms made during the reign of Hugo Chavez. Furthermore, it evaluates and compares with the previous governments and the countries of the region. In the last part are than analyzed and evaluated the fiscal and monetary policy.
