Analysis and design of a motivational system for employees in the creative industry

Abstract:

Motivace zaměstnanců je jednou z klíčových činností manažera. Cílem práce je analýza motivačního systému u kreativních zaměstnanců ve firmě ABC a jeho následné zhodnocení z hlediska vhodnosti vůči zaměstnancům. V první části práce je provedena literární rešerše na téma motivace, motivačních teorií, zaměstnaneckých benefitů a studií motivace kreativních zaměstnanců. Druhá část práce je metodická, která stanoví výzkumné otázky a definuje postupy vlastního výzkumu. Třetí část obsahuje analýzu výsledků dotazníkového šetření, kterého se zúčastnili pracovníci kreativního oddělení firmy ABC. Z výsledků vyplývá dostatečně vysoká spokojenost zaměstnanců s prací a vysoká vnitřní motivace. V práci byla vytvořena doporučení pro odstranění nedostatků a vylepšení nabídky zaměstnaneckých benefitů (např. knihovna, měření nálady zaměstnanců atd.). Z výsledků vlastního výzkumu vyplývá, že motivační nástroje, uspokojující kognitivní potřeby, jsou pro dotazované kreativní zaměstnance důležitější než nástroje, uspokojující estetické potřeby. Dalším zjištěním je to, že kvalita kreativního prostoru je pro ženy důležitější než pro muži.

Abstract:

Employee motivation is one of the key activities of a manager. The aim of the work is the analysis of the motivational system for creative employees in the company ABC and its subsequent evaluation in terms of suitability for employees. In the first part of the thesis, a literature search is carried out on the topic of motivation, motivational theories, employee benefits and studies of the motivation of creative employees. The second part of the work is methodological, which sets the research questions and defines the procedures of the own research. The third part contains an analysis of the results of a questionnaire survey, in which employees of the creative department of the ABC company took part. The results show sufficiently high employee satisfaction with work and high internal motivation. Recommendations were made in the work to eliminate shortcomings and improve the offer of employee benefits (e.g. library, employee mood measurement, etc.). The results of the own research show that motivation tools that satisfy cognitive needs are more important to the interviewed creative employees than tools that satisfy aesthetic needs. Another finding is that the quality of the creative space is more important for women than for men.
