Tato práce se zabývá analýzou šesti anglických slovech vyjadřujících volní stavy, intend, want, wish, need, desire a fancy, které se objevují v průběhovém čase v Britském národním korpusu. The thesis deals with the analysis of six English stative verbs of volition, intend, want, wish, need, desire and fancy, which occur with the progressive in the British National Corpus. The stative verbs are theoretically incompatible with the progressive and so the aim of the thesis is to study recurrent characteristics and situations which are provided by the progressive forms of the stative verbs …more
