Práce se zaměří na dvě knihy jednoho z nejznámějších autorů viktoriánské doby, Charlese Dickense. V úvodu práce charakterizuje viktoriánskou Anglii a život autora, který mu byl hlavním zdrojem literární inspirace. Cílem práce je prokázat skutečnost, že obě díla poukazují na hrůzy viktoriánské společnosti a zároveň zdůrazňují význam lidskosti a prosperity. This bachelor thesis focuses on two books by one of the most famous authors of the Victorian period, Charles Dickens. In the first part, the thesis characterizes Victorian England and the life of the author which was his main source of literary inspiration.
