The analysis of consumer behavior focusing on fair trade

Abstract:

V této diplomové práci je jedním z hlavních témat přiblížení konceptu fair trade spotřebitelům. Vymezuje pojem fair trade, popisuje jeho cíle a principy, pojednává nejen o jeho historii, ale též o jeho současnosti. Popisuje světové a domácí organizace pro fair trade, zabývá se kampaněmi podporujícími jeho začlenění do povědomí veřejnosti a informuje o současných nejvíce obchodovaných produktech fair trade ve světě i v České republice. Práce se také, dle vymezení svého cíle, zaměřuje na spotřebitele a jejich znalost, vnímání a nákup výrobků s označením Fairtrade. K tomuto účelu byly provedeny hloubkové rozhovory, díky nimž byly získány informace o fair trade povědomí spotřebitelů a jejich nákupním chování nejen v oblasti fair trade výrobků. Tyto informace jsou shrnuty do uceleného textu a porovnány s dotazníkovým šetřením Společnosti pro Fair Trade.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with Fair Trade with the focus on the ways how to make customers be informed about such a conception. The definition of the Fair Trade conception is presented; its purposes and principles are also described. The Fair Trade history is shown as well as present times. The paper describes global and domestic organizations within Fair Trade, shows campaigns supporting their integration and building public awareness, and informs about most successful current Fair Trade products in the world and in the Czech Republic. According to the paper objectives, it also includes information about consumers and their knowledge, their perceptions and purchasing products labelled with Fair Trade. Because of this, interviews had been undertaken which helped to gain information about consumers? awareness of Fair Trade and their behavior not only in the field of Fair Trade products. This information is summarized in a full text and compared with Society questionnaire for Fair Trade.
