Předložená práce se zabývá mineralogií a genezí nodulárních lateritů v subtropických oblastech jižního Laosu. V první části je formou rešerše zpracována dostupná literatura o problematice lateritického zvětrávání a mineralogii zvětralinových plášťů jednotlivých typů lateritů (Al, Fe) s důrazem na lateritické zvětrávání Fe bohatých hornin. The present work deals with the mineralogy and genesis of nodular laterite in subtropical areas of southern Laos. The first part contains available literature search on the issue of lateritic weathering and mineralogy of the various types of laterite weathering mantle (Al, Fe), with an emphasis on lateritic weathering of Fe-rich rocks.
