Prevention and Providing Assistance to Victims of Sexual Offenses in Czechia

Abstract:

Práce pojednává o problematice mravnostních deliktů v České republice. Kromě legislativy obsahuje psychologii pachatele, nauku o obětech nebo pomoci obětem mravnostních deliktů. Praktická část cílí na tvrdá data a fakta, která se vztahují k dané problematice. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat aktuální stav v České republice ve vztahu k sexuální kriminalitě, prozkoumat efektivitu pomoci obětem a oblast prevence. Pro zpracování byly použity metody jako brainstorming, analýza dokumentů a dat z oficiálních statistik, strukturovaný rozhovor s odborníkem a s obětí mravnostních deliktů. V neposlední řadě práce obsahuje modelovou situaci, která byla podrobena analýze rizik. Na základě získaných dat práce pojednává o způsobu, jak řešit aktuální stav. Tento dokument může sloužit k rozpoutání diskuze nebo může být oporou pro radikální změny nejen v legislativě, ale i ve společnosti.

Abstract:

The thesis explores with the issue of sexual offenses in Czechia. In addition to the legislation, it includes the psychology of the offender, the doctrine of victims or assistance to victims of sexual offences. The practical part aims at hard data and facts related to the topic. The focus of the thesis was to map the current situation in Czechia in relation to sexual crime, to examine the effectiveness of victim assistance and the area of prevention. Methods such as brainstorming, document analysis and data from official statistics, structured interview with an expert and a victim of sexual offences were used for the elaboration. Last but not least, the thesis includes a model situation that has been subjected to risk analysis. On the basis of the data obtained, the thesis discusses how to address the current situation. This paper can be the basis for radical changes not only in legislation but also in society.
