Foreigners in the eastern federal states in Germany

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem počtu cizinců ve východních spolkových zemích Německa. Informace o počtu cizinců ve východních spolkových zemích jsou srovnávány s počty cizinců ve spolkových zemích na západě Německa. Nejprve se práce zaobírá vývojem migrace do Spolkové republiky Německo a Německé demokratické republiky. Následně se práce věnuje migraci do sjednoceného Německa. Dále se práce zaměřuje také na aktuální situaci počtu cizinců v Německu. V závěrečné části práce z dosavadního vývoje práce pomocí analýzy statistických dat zjišťuje, zda se struktura obyvatelstva ve východních spolkových zemích může v budoucnu přiblížit spolkovým zemím na západě Německa.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the evolution of f he number of foreigners in the eastern federal states of Germany. The information about the number of foreigners in the eastern federal states is compared with the number of foreigners in the federal states of western Germany. Firstly, the thesis deals with the development of migration in the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Democratic Republic. Subsequently, it deals with migration to unified Germany. Furthermore, the thesis also focuses on the current situation of foreigners in Germany. In its final part, with the use of statistical data analysis of the current developments, the thesis investigates whether the population structure in the eastern federal states may further approximate the one of western Germany.
