Financial stability and company performance from the perspective of modern performance measurement methods

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce na téma „Finanční stabilita a výkonnost firmy z pohledu moderních metod měření výkonnosti“ se zabývá analyzováním finančního zdraví a stability společnosti TON a.s. mezi lety 2017 až 2021. Tato nábytkářská společnost má dlouholetou tradici v ohýbání dřeva, což jí umožňuje vyrábět kvalitní a designový nábytek oblíbený po celém světě. Cílem práce je vyhodnocení finanční stability a výkonnosti společnosti na základě výsledků vybraných tradičních ukazatelů finanční analýzy a moderních metod měření výkonnosti, následné srovnání vypovídací schopnosti obou skupin metod a zjištění vlivu globální pandemie covid-19 na výsledky podniku. V teoretické části jsou popsány vybrané tradiční ukazatele, tj. absolutní, rozdílové, poměrové, bankrotní a bonitní, z moderních metod ekonomická přidaná hodnota. Druhá část práce potom zahrnuje charakteristiku společnosti a aplikaci uvedených metod.

Abstract:

This thesis on " Financial stability and company performance from the perspective of modern performance measurement methods " analyzes the financial health and stability of TON Inc. between 2017 and 2021. This furniture company has a long tradition of wood bending, which allows it to produce quality and design furniture popular around the world. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the financial stability and performance of the company based on the results of selected traditional financial analysis indicators and modern performance measurement methods, then to compare the predictive power of both sets of methods and to determine the impact of the global pandemic covid-19 on the company's results. The theoretical part describes selected traditional indicators, i.e. absolute, difference, ratio, bankruptcy and credibility, and economic value added from modern methods. The second part of the thesis then involves the characteristics of the company and the application of these methods.
