Cardiopulmonary resuscitation in a medical facility

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se snaží zpřehlednit problematiku kardiopulmonální resuscitace. Teoretickým cílem je zmapovat z českých a zahraničních zdrojů informace o problematice kardiopulmonální resuscitace. Empirickým cílem práce je analyzovat teoretickou připravenost zdravotnického personálu na poskytování kardiopulmonální resuscitaci ve zdravotnickém zařízení. Prostřednictvím anonymního nestandardizovaného dotazníku byli osloveni nelékařští zdravotničtí pracovníci pracující na různých odděleních nemocnice. Výsledky průzkumu ukázaly, že většina respondentů je teoreticky připravena poskytnout neodkladnou resuscitaci, ale zároveň by uvítali častější školení praktické i teoretické výuky.

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis seeks to clarify the issue of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The theoretical aim is to map information on the issue of cardiopulmonary resuscitation from Czech and foreign sources. The empirical goal of the work is to analyze the theoretical readiness of medical personnel to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation in a medical facility. Non-medical healthcare professionals working in different departments of the hospital were approached through an anonymous, non-standardised questionnaire. The survey results showed that a majority of respondents are theoretically prepared to provide urgent resuscitation, but would also welcome more frequent training in both practical and theoretical instruction.
