Abstract:
This thesis introduces the theory of simple continued fractions as a special case of generalized continued fractions. Simple continued fractions are particularly useful for approximating real numbers by rational numbers, as outlined in the following chapters. Abstract:
Tato práce uvádí teorii jednoduchých řetězových zlomků jako speciální případ zobecněných řetězových zlomků. Jednoduché řetězové zlomky jsou zvláště užitečné pro aproximaci reálných čísel čísly racionálními, jak je nastíněno v dalších kapitolách. Hlavním přínosem této diplomové práce jsou nové výsledky právě v této oblasti. Dokázané věty navazují na výsledky Karla Theodora Vahlena z roku 1895.
