The use of GIS tools for paleochannels of the Malá Ohře River (the Little Ohře River)

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá identifikací zaniklých koryt na řece Ohře a Malá Ohře. Zájmové území se nachází mezi jezem v Libochovicích a jezem v Hostěnicích. Tok Malé Ohře je uměle vybudovaný mlýnský kanál. Stará koryta byla identifikována pomocí literárních podkladů, s využitím archivních plánů, map Stabilního katastru, vojenského mapování, černobílých ortofotosnímků a současnost byla prezentována pomocí barevného ortofotosnímku a digitálního modelu terénu. Práce má za úkol identifikovat zaniklá koryta toku v prostředí geografických informačních systémů (dále GIS). Kartografická díla byla jednotlivě zpracována a byly provedeny časoprostorové analýzy toku. Výsledky práce analyzují změnu toku v čase. Na řece Ohři byl zaznamenán přirozený posun toku i antropogenní zásahy na toku v místě libochovického jezu. Na Malé Ohři neproběhly významné přirozené změny, naopak byly zaznamenány a popsány zásadní antropogenní regulace toku.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis describes the identification of deforested river beds on the river Ohře and Malá Ohře. The area of interest is located between the weir in Libochovice and the weir in Hostěnice. The Malá Ohře stream is an artificially built mill channel. The old river beds were identified using literature sources, using archive plans, Stable Cadastre maps, military mapping, black-and-white orthophoto maps. The present was pictured using a colour orthophoto image and a digital terrain model. The task of the diploma thesis is to identify the defunct flow channels in the geographic information system environment (GIS). The cartographic sources were individually processed and time-space flow analyzes were performed. The results of the work analyze the change in flow over time. On the Ohře river was recorded a natural flow shift and anthropogenic interference on the river flow in the location of Libochovice weir. There were found no significant natural changes in the Little Ohře, while the fundamental anthropogenic flow regulation was recorded and described.
