Critical evaluation of Šik s reform

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá tzv. Šikovou reformou, tedy reformou, která se v šedesátých letech dvacátého století v Československu snažila zavést do tehdejší centrálně plánované ekonomiky určité tržní prvky. Práce nejprve popisuje průběh reformy, při které byla významně omezena role centrálního plánu, posílena pozice podniků a byla provedena cenová přestavba. Následně jsou v práci zkoumány a porovnávány názory dobových zahraničních i domácích odborníků na reformu a novou ekonomickou soustavu, aby se na jejichž základě došlo k cíli práce, jímž je zjištění chyb a nedostatků, které provázely zavádění nové soustavy a mohly ohrozit její fungování.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the so called Šik s reform, which was a reform, that tried to implement certain elements of market economy in the centrally planned economy of Czechoslovakia in the sixties of the twentieth century. Firstly the thesis describes the course of the reform, when the importance of the central plan was significantly reduced, the position of enterprises was strengthened and the price system was rebuild. Lately the thesis examines and compares opinions on reform and new economic system of foreign and domestic experts. The goal of the thesis is to discover mistakes and imperfections of implementing of new systém, which could endanger its functioning.
