Endovascular Treatment of Spleen Injury

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá endovaskulární léčbou poraněné sleziny. Práci jsem rozdělila na dvě části, část teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části se zabývám anatomií sleziny, její strukturou, funkcí a cévním zásobením. Dále popisuji traumata a typy onemocnění sleziny, diagnostiku traumat, alternativy léčby, endovaskulární léčbu slezinné tepny, a s tím související radiační ochranu. V kapitole endovaskulární léčba popisuji úlohu radiologického asistenta na angiografickém sále během intervenčního výkonu. V praktické části Vás seznámím s vlastní retrospektivní studií a kasuistikou zaměřenou na diagnostiku a endovaskulární léčbu sleziny. Také zde přiblížím splenektomii provedenou na FNO. Studie zkoumá soubor pacientů s traumatem sleziny, kterým byla indikována endovaskulární léčba nebo splenektomie. Data pro endovaskulární léčbu jsem čerpala na angiografickém oddělení radiodiagnostické kliniky a pro splenektomii na klinice úrazové chirurgie ve Fakultní nemocnici v Ostravě v letech 2013-2020.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on endovascular treatment of splenic injury. I have divided my bachelor thesis into two parts: a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part I study the anatomy of the spleen, it's structure, function and vascular supply. I also describe splenic trauma and types of spleen diseases, diagnosis of traumas, treatment alternatives, endovascular treatment of the splenic artery, and related radiation protection. In the endovascular treatment chapter, I describe the role of a radiological assistant in the angiography lab during an interventional procedure. In the practical part I will present my own retrospective study and case study focused on the diagnosis and endovascular treatment of the spleen. I will also describe the splenectomy performed at the FNO Hospital. The study examines a group of patients with splenic trauma in whom endovascular treatment or splenectomy were indicated. Endovascular treatment data was obtained from the Angiography Department of the Radiodiagnostic Institute, while splenectomy data was obtained from the Department of trauma surgery, University Hospital in Ostrava during the years 2013-2020.
