To the Usage of Linguistic Corpora with the Features Typical for the Spoken Language

Abstract:

V diplomové práci jsme navázali na předešlý výzkum jazyka korespondence prováděný v ÚČJ FF MU. Zaměřili jsme se především na hledání a testování metodických postupů pro práci s Korpusem soukromé korespondence, resp. obecněji s korpusy textů s mluvenostními rysy. V teoretické části jsme se zřetelem k charakteru analyzovaného materiálu podali stručnou charakteristiku mluvených a psaných projevů, mluvy mládeže a epistolárního stylu; představili jsme též Korpus soukromé korespondence. V praktické části jsme se věnovali dvěma okruhům problémů. Za prvé jsme se pokusili přispět ke studiu teritoriálních a dalších sociálních determinantů šíření jevů nespisovného kódu obecné češtiny. V návaznosti na práce F. Esvana a Z. Hladké jsme na korpusu korespondenčních textů mj. testovali užití výpočtu korigované frekvence. Za druhé jsme se snažili zjistit, zda jsou soukromé dopisy vhodným pramenem pro studium příznakového lexika současné češtiny a pro jeho lexikografické zachycení.

Abstract:

In the Master thesis I continued with the previous research on the language of correspondence. The research was carried out by the Department of Czech at the Faculty of Arts. I focused predominantly on the search for new methodical procedures for the work with the Corpus of private correspondence, or in a more general way, with the corpora data with the features typical for the spoken language. In the theoretical part I provided a brief characteristic of both spoken and written communication, the teenagers’ speech and the epistolary style of utterances. I also characterized the Corpus of private correspondence. In the practical part I dealt with two kinds of problems. Firstly, I tried to provide a contribution to the explanation of social and territorial determinants of spreading ungrammatical forms into the Standard Language. Secondly, I tried to examine whether the letters of private correspondence stand for a reliable source for the studying of marked lexemes in the contemporary form of the Czech language and whether the marked lexemes are convenient for the lexicographic fixation.
