Outdoor education in Bohnice, its neighbourhood and its efficiency in the lessons of biology and homeland studies

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání vlivu venkovní výuky na pochopení učiva žáky 1. stupně, konkrétně 4. tříd. Cílem této práce je dokázat, že výuka ve venkovním prostředí je jednak pro žáky mnohem poutavější, ale z hlediska zapamatovaných informací i mnohem efektivnější. Teoretická část se zabývá historií a vývojem venkovní výuky a uvádí její největší přínosy a zápory. V praktické části je popsán průběh vyučovacích hodin vlastivědy a přírodovědy ve dvou třídách, z nichž jedna absolvovala výuku ve třídě a druhá absolvovala výuku venku. Výsledky žáků jsou vyhodnoceny ze dvou závěrečných testů, z nichž jeden je respondenty vyplněn hned po ukončení výuky a druhý s patřičným časovým odstupem. Výsledky jsou porovnány s jinou diplomovou prací. Všechny materiály využité ve výuce jsou zařazeny v přílohách.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on examining the impact of the outdoor education on the understanding of the curriculum by primary school pupils, specifically fourth classes. The goal of the thesis is to prove that the outdoor education is on the one hand, more arresting for pupils, but also more effective in terms of memorized information. The theoretical part deals with the history and development of outdoor education and lists its greatest benefits and disadvantages. The practical part describes the lessons of homeland studies and nature science in two classes, one of which has been taught in the classroom and the other has been taught outside. Pupils' results are evaluated from two final tests, one of which is filled in by the respondents immediately after the end of the course and the other with the appropriate time interval. The results are compared with orher thesis. All materials used in teaching are included in the annexes.
