Abstract:

Práce je věnována praktickému restaurování secesního paravánu s litografovanými plakáty od Alfonse Muchy. Postup restaurování je doložen podrobnou restaurátorskou dokumentací. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na historický vývoj paravánů. Pojednává o okolnostech původu a vzniku tohoto mobilního interiérového doplňku a dokládá technologie jeho vzniku. Na základě orientačního průzkumu paravánů v českých sbírkách je představeno jejich slohové a materiálové zastoupení. Dále je nastíněna problematika preventivní péče a jsou uvedeny příklady restaurování paravánů s aplikací papíru.

Abstract:

This dissertation describes the restoration of an art nouveau folding screen with litograph posters by Alfons Mucha. The process of the restoration is documented in the restoration report. The theoretical part focuses on the historical development of folding screens. It discusses the origin of these portable pieces of furniture and the technology of their production. Based on the author?s research, the styles and materials of screens from Czech collections and archives are described. The thesis further deals with the issue of preventive conservation, with examples of restauration of screens with paper application.
