Abstract:
Práce se zabývá ztvárněním japonských vojáků ve dvou amerických filmech, Guadalcanal Diary (1943) a Letters from Iwo Jima (2006). Zkoumá, jakým způsobem jsou tito vojáci zobrazeni v obou filmech, čím se filmy v tomto ohledu liší a v čem se naopak shodují.Abstract:
The thesis analyzes two American war films, Guadalcanal Diary (1943) and Letters from Iwo Jima (2006), focusing on the portrayal of the Japanese soldiers. It examines various aspects of their depiction, shows what similarities the films share and how they differ in this regard.
