Organisational culture in social services

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem organizační kultura v sociálních službách. Cílem práce je zjistit organizační kulturu u organizace Slezská diakonie, oblast Ostravsko. Diplomová práce se dělí na teoretickou a výzkumnou část. V teoretické části se zaměřuji na popis klíčových konceptů, jako jsou: organizační kultura a všeobecné pojetí kultury, organizační kultura a její výkonnost, prvky organizační kultury, typologie organizační kultury a organizační kultura v sociálních službách. Pro výzkumnou část jsem zvolila kvalitativní přístup a využila jsem tak polostrukturované rozhovory s devíti vedoucími pracovnicemi organizace Slezská diakonie. Informantky byly vybrány metodou záměrného účelového výběru. Jeden rozhovor proběhl online, zatímco zbývajících osm se konalo přímo na pracovišti informantek. Při sestavování struktury rozhovoru jsem čerpala inspiraci z předchozích výzkumů autorů zabývajících se obdobným tématem. Po sběru dat následovala transkripce a otevřené kódování. Takto přizpůsobená data jsem dále analyzovala a interpretovala.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the topic of organizational culture in social services. The aim of the thesis is to identify and describe the organizational culture in the organization Slezska diakonie, Ostrava region. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical background and research. In the theoretical part I focus on the description of key concepts such as: organizational culture and general concept of culture, organizational culture and its performance, elements of organizational culture, typology of organizational culture and organizational culture in social services. For the research part, I chose a qualitative approach and thus conducted semi-structured interviews with nine female managers of the Slezska diakonie organization. The informants were selected using the method of wilful selection. One interview was conducted online, while the remaining eight took place directly at the informants' workplaces. When designing the interviews, I drew inspiration from previous researches by authors dealing with a similar topic. Data collection was followed by transcription and open coding. I further analysed and interpreted the adapted data.
