Trends in development of computer-mediated communication

Abstract:

Práce Trendy ve vývoji počítačem zprostředkované komunikace se zabývá problematikou komunikace přes počítač, která je zkoumána poměrně mladou, ale dynamicky se vyvíjející vědní disciplínou zvanou computer-mediated communication (CMC). Práce pojímá problematiku z komplexního hlediska a seznamuje jak s historií vzniku této vědní disciplíny, tak se soudobými možnostmi a formami zprostředkované komunikace a nastiňuje také možný budoucí vývoj CMC. Práce představuje komplexní průřez problematikou CMC se zaměřením na trendy v této oblasti (zabývá se například videokonferencingem, blogy, technologií wiki či virtuálními světy a mnohými dalšími). Vedle samotných CMC systémů je práce věnována také souvisejícím otázkám kyberpsychologie, která hraje v současné elektronické společnosti významnou roli.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis Trends in development of computer-mediated communication deals with communication via computer, which is examined by a relatively young but rapidly evolving discipline called computer-mediated communication (CMC). The thesis covers the CMC issue from a comprehensive view and familiarizes not only with a historical development of this discipline but also with the contemporary options and forms of mediated communication and possible future developments in CMC are outlined as well. This thesis represents the complex overview of CMC issues with emphasis on the latest trends in this field of study (it is devoted for example to videoconferencing, blogs, wikis and virtual worlds). Besides these CMC systems, there are also presented the related cyberpsychology issues, which have been playing an important role in our current electronic society.
