Diplomová práce se zabývá ekonomickými náklady na vrcholové sportovce. Úvod práce se zabývá vývojem sportu, zejména rozdílem mezi amatérským a profesionálním sportem. Druhá část pojednává o tom, jaké mohou být ekonomické náklady na vrcholové sportovce. Jedná se o dotace, sponzoring a příjmy ze soutěží. Jsou zde ukázány výše těchto nákladů. The diploma thesis deals with the economic cost of the elite athletes. The introduction addresses the development of sport, especially the difference between amateur and professional sport.
