Analysis of the internal control system in the Purchasing department of ŠKODA AUTO a.s.

Abstract:

Obsahem diplomové práce je v teoretické části charakterizovat strukturu a funkčnost vnitřního kontrolního systému, který je s tématem diplomové práce úzce spjatý. Společně s charakteristikou vnitřního kontrolního systému jsou identifikována rizika, tzv. risk management. Dále bude definována „dobrá praxe“ v rámci interního kontrolního systému a systému řízení rizik. Praktická část diplomové práce je zaměřená na společnost ŠKODA AUTO a.s. Na začátku praktické části je představena společnost ŠKODA AUTO a.s. a detailněji definovaná oblast Nákup. Dále je popsáno, jak Nákup ŠKODA AUTO a.s. řídí interní kontrolní systém a systém řízení rizik. Následná část práce je zaměřená na analýzu identifikace rizik pro Nákup ŠKODA AUTO a.s. V předposlední části práce je zjištěna shoda interního kontrolního systému a řízení rizik s „dobrou praxí“. Na základě posouzení shody interního kontrolního systému a řízení rizik je navrhnuto několik opatření pro zlepšení efektivity systému ŠKODA AUTO a.s. z hlediska funkčnosti.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of the thesis is to characterize the structure and functionality of the internal control system, which is closely related to the topic of the thesis. Together with the characteristics of the internal control system, risks are identified, the so-called risk management. Furthermore, "good practice" within the internal control system and risk management system is defined. The practical part of the thesis is focused on ŠKODA AUTO a.s. At the beginning of the practical part, ŠKODA AUTO a.s. is introduced and the area of Purchasing is defined in more detail. Furthermore, it is described how the Purchasing of ŠKODA AUTO a.s. manages the internal control system and the risk management system. The subsequent part of the thesis focuses on the risk identification analysis for Purchasing ŠKODA AUTO a.s. In the penultimate part of the thesis the conformity of the internal control system and risk management with "good practice" is established. Based on the assessment of the compliance of the internal control system and risk management, several measures are proposed to improve the effectiveness of the system of ŠKODA AUTO a.s. in terms of functionality.
