Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou prvního přijetí IFRS pro malé a střední podniky v českých podmínkách. Vzhledem ke světové globalizaci a růstu nadnárodních společností roste i potřeba celosvětově platných a uznávaných účetních pravidel. Ta by měla poskytnout uživatelům, zejména zahraničním investorům, srovnatelné a srozumitelné informace o finanční pozici a finanční výkonnosti podniku. Tuto funkci mají plnit mezinárodní standardy účetního výkaznictví. Pro malé a střední podniky, které tvoří podstatnou část společností působících v členských zemích Evropské unie, byl přijat samostatný standard. Tato práce by měla ověřit, zda vykazování podle IFRS pro MSP přinese podstatné rozdíly v účetních informacích a zda je pro firmu toto vykazování náročnější a nákladnější. Práce by měla MSP usnadnit rozhodování při uvažované změně systému účtování a vykazování. Po provedené analýze českých výkazů společnosti a sestavení počátečního výkazu o finanční pozici podle standardu pro MSP budou vyhodnoceny rozdíly v hodnotách jednotlivých položek výkazů. Také budou analyzovány pozitivní a negativní stránky změny účetního systému pro společnost.

Abstract:

The Diploma thesis studies the issue of the initial adoption of IFRS standards for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Czech environment. In the world that is witnessing a considerable globalization and growth of multinational companies, the need for universally valid and acknowledged rules is growing. The rules should provide users, i.e. in particular foreign investors, with comparable and comprehensible information on the financial position and financial effectiveness of an enterprise. This is the aim of the International Financial Reporting Standards. A separate standard has been adopted for small and medium-sized enterprises, which represent a significant category of companies operating in member states of the European Union. This diploma thesis should verify whether reporting according to IFRS for SME will result in considerable differences in accounting data and whether this reporting is more demanding and more expensive for a company. The thesis should facilitate the decision-making process for SME when considering a change in their accounting and reporting systems. After an analysis of Czech company reports is performed and the initial report on the financial position according to the standard for SMEs is drawn up, the differences in the amounts of individual items of the reports will be assessed. In addition, the thesis analyses positive as well as negative aspects of changing the accounting system for a company.
