Economical Management of Moravian-Silesian research library in Ostrava

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Ekonomický management Moravskoslezské vědecké knihovny v Ostravě“ pojednává o řízení výše jmenované krajské knihovny. Vymezuje termín ekonomický management, jakožto druh řízení organizace založený na analýze a následném vyhodnocení převážně účetních ukazatelů v rámci daného systému. Rovněž uvádí přehled základních údajů o organizaci, legislativy, která činnost knihovny upravuje, a regionálních funkcí vyplývajících ze statutu krajské knihovny v ČR. V obecných rovinách pojednává o knihovnách, jakožto organizacích příspěvkových. Dále popisuje a následně aplikuje obecný management na příkladě Moravskoslezské vědecké knihovny v Ostravě. Nedílnou součástí práce je analýza jednotlivých nákladových a výnosových položek vypovídajících o hospodaření instituce a následné porovnání s jinými krajskými knihovnami.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis „Economical Management of the Moravian-Silesian Research Library in Ostrava” deals with managing of the aforesaid district library. It defines the term economic management as the type of managing an organisation based on analysis and following evaluation of accountant indicators within the particular system. The thesis also introduces the survey of basic statements about the organization, legislation regulating the library operations and regional functions resulting from the statute of regional library in the CR. Generally, it deals with libraries as allowance organizations. Moreover it describes and subsequently applies common management on the example of Moravian-Silesian Research Library in Ostrava. The entire part of the thesis is the analysis of particular cost and expense items showing the institution management and the following comparison with other regional libraries.
