The comparison of the demographic development of Colombia and Spain

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem bakalářské práce je porovnání demografického vývoje Kolumbie a Špa-nělska. V první části práce jsou popsány základní charakteristiky obou zemí týkající se státního uspořádání, historického vývoje, ekonomiky a imigrace z Kolumbie do Španělska. Následně jsou definovány základní demografické a ekonomicko-demografické ukazatele a popsána metodologie práce. Analytická část práce je rozdělena na dvě kapitoly, z nichž první je zaměřená na analýzu demografických a ekonomicko-demografických ukazatelů v roce 2005. V druhé kapitole je porovnán vývoj střední délky života, kojenecké úmrtnosti a úhrnné míry plodnosti v Kolumbii a ve Španělsku v letech 1960 -- 2011 a provedena ana-lýza závislosti demografického vývoje pomocí regresní a korelační analýzy. Cílem práce je potvrdit, že populace Kolumbie je mladší než populace španělská a zjistit, zda existuje závislost mezi demografickým vývojem Kolumbie a Španělska.

Abstract:

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is the comparison of the demographic development of Colombia and Spain. Firstly, the basic characteristics of these two countries regarding to institutional organization, history, economy and immigration from Colombia to Spain are described. Subsequently, the basic demographic and economic-demographic indicators and methodology of the analytic part of the thesis are defined. The analytical part is divid-ed into two chapters, the first of which is focused on the analysis of demographic and eco-nomic-demographic indicators in 2005. Within the second chapter, the comparison of the development of life expectancy, infant mortality and total fertility rate in Colombia and Spain during the period of 1960 -- 2011 are made. The calculation of the dependence of the demographic development in Colombia on the development in Spain is realized using re-gression and correlation analysis. The aim is to confirm that the population of Colombia is younger than the Spanish population and to determine whether there is any link between demographic development in Colombia and Spain.
