Satisfaction of the Mentally Handicapped with the Employment Possibilities in the Czech Republic (Examined a Sample of five Mentally Handicapped Employees)

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou zaměstnávání mentálně postiţených osob v České republice. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části: teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části definuji pojem mentální retardace, seznamuji s tématem vzdělávání mentálně postiţených a dále se věnuji moţnostem zaměstnávání mentálně retardovaných. V praktické části práce provádím kvalitativní výzkumné šetření formou případové studie na základě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s pěti mentálně postiţenými zaměstnanci. Cílem práce je přiblíţit problematiku zaměstnávání lidí s mentálním postiţením a získat osobní zkušenosti a poznatky z dané problematiky.

Abstract:

The present thesis deals with the issue of employment of mentally challenged people in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical one and a practical one. The theoretical part defines the term ?mental retardation?and introduces the reader to the issue of education of mentally retarded people and the possibilities of their employment. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the performed qualitative research survey in a form of a case study based on semi-controlled interviews with mentally challenged employees. The aim of the thesis is to describe the issue of employing people with mental dysfunction and to collect personal experience and findings of this particular issue.
