The specifics of the japanese culture and their influence on services in tourism

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje japonské kultuře a jejím požadavkům na služby v cestovním ruchu. Cílem práce je pomocí dotazníkového šetření zjistit, zda jsou mýty o japonské klientele využívající ubytovací, stravovací, či například průvodcovské služby pravdivé, či nikoliv. V teoreticko-metodologické části je vysvětlen pojem cestovní ruch, kultura a etika, dále popsána historie japonské kultury, hodnotový systém japonské kultury obsahující například rodinu, princip zachování tváře. Dále tradice, zvyky a svátky zahrnující japonskou kuchyni, nebo japonský jazyk. V této části také lze najít kapitolu týkající se specifik japonské kultury ovlivňující služby v cestovním ruchu jako je ubytování, stolování, výběr pokrmu, stížnosti a reklamace, spropitné nebo nabídka balíčků, ale také se v této kapitole můžeme dočíst o obchodním jednání, zájmu o zaměstnání, či nemožnosti přímého odmítnutí při obchodním jednání. V analytické části jsem vytvořila dvě dotazníková šetření, přičemž u prvního z nich jsem se zaměřila na to, abych zjistila jaké je povědomí a znalosti Čechů o japonské kultuře, zvycích a i o Japoncích jako takových. Zajímalo mne, zda Češi znají japonskou kuchyni, obyčeje, kulturu… Druhé dotazníkové šetření jsem pojala trochu jinou formou, a to, že jsem si vybrala dva hotely a oslovila tamní recepční, abych zjistila, jak se chovají japonští turisté doopravdy.

Abstract:

This bachelor dissertation deals with japanese culture and its requirements for tourism services. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether the myths about Japanese clients using accommodation, catering or guide services are true or not. In the theoretical-methodological part, the concept of tourism, culture and ethics is explained, the history of Japanese culture, the value system of Japanese culture including for example the family, the principle of the preservation of the face. Furthermore, traditions, customs and holidays include Japanese cuisine or Japanese language. In this section you can also find a chapter on the specifics of Japanese culture influencing tourism services such as accommodation, dining, food selection, complaints and complaints, tips or packages, but also in this chapter we can read about business negotiations, interest in employment , or the impossibility of a direct refusal in business negotiations. In the analytical part I created two questionnaire surveys, the first of which was to find out what the Czechs' awareness and knowledge about Japanese culture, customs, and the Japanese as such. I wondered if the Czechs knew Japanese cuisine, customs, culture ... I took another questionnaire in a different form, that I chose two hotels and contacted the receptionist to find out how Japanese tourists are really behaving.
