The user charges in the public library

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit ochotu čtenářů platit za knihovnické služby a navrhnout nový registrační poplatek, který by knihovně přinesl více peněz do rozpočtu, ale nezpůsobil by významný odliv čtenářů. Z výsledků analýzy vyplynulo, že lidé nejsou ochotni platit výrazně vyšší příspěvek za knihovnické služby. Z tohoto důvodu bych změnu výše poplatku doporučila navázat na inflaci a poplatek zvyšovat po malých částkách. Dále bylo zjištěno, že mezi ochotou platit a charakteristikami čtenářů nejsou významné statistické vztahy. Nejsilnější vztah je mezi ochotou platit a úsporami, které čtenářům existence knihovny přinese. Záměrem práce byla také analýza efektivnosti. Městská knihovna Pacov je podle provedeného šetření efektivní. Každá vložená koruna přinese větší užitek čtenářům.

Abstract:

The main objective of the work was to determine the willingness of readers to pay for library services and propose a new registration fee that would bring more money to the library budget but would not cause a significant outflow of readers. The results of the analysis showed that people are not willing to pay a significantly higher charge for library services. For this reason, I would recommend that the fee change be tied to inflation and the fee increase in small increments. It was also found that there were no significant statistical relationships between willingness to pay and reader characteristics. The strongest relationship is between willingness to pay and the savings that the existence of the library brings to readers. Intent of the work was also to analyse efficiency. According to the survey, the Pacov Municipal Library is efficient. Each invested crown will bring more benefit to the readers.
