Ethic in communication of helping workers with parents of children with cancer

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je hlouběji porozumět etické komunikaci pomáhajících pracovníků s rodiči onkologicky nemocných dětí. Práce se zabývá etickou komunikací v pomáhajících profesích a prožíváním rodičů onkologicky nemocných dětí. Cílem výzkumné části práce je odpovědět na hlavní výzkumnou otázku: Které etické principy jsou pro rodiče onkologicky nemocných dětí v komunikaci s pomáhajícími pracovníky podstatné a jak souvisí s prožíváním rodičů? A to pomocí kvalitativní metody a techniky polo-strukturovaných rozhovorů s rodiči, kteří mají zkušenost s onkologickým onemocněním u dítěte. Výzkum přináší výsledky, ze kterých lze určit okolnosti, které ovlivňují prožívání rodičů onkologicky nemocných dětí. Z výsledků výzkumu lze také definovat principy, které jsou pro rodiče při komunikaci s pomáhajícími pracovníky podstatné, a jak tyto principy souvisejí s prožíváním rodičů.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to understand the ethical communication of helping workers with parents of children with cancer. The theoretical part focuses on the ethical communication in helping professions and feelings of parents of children with cancer. The aim of the empirical part is to answer the main research question: Which ethical principles in communication are important for parents of children with cancer with helping workers and how it relates with parents´ feelings? To answer it was used qualitative methods and techniques of semi - structured interviews with parents of children with cancer. The research shows the factors that influence parents´ feelings and etihcal principles that are the most important in communication for parents. And how these principles relate to parents´ feelings.
