The Impact of Raw Materials Price on the War in the Democratic Republic of Congo between 1998 and 2003
Abstract:
Cílem práce je zjistit, zda má na konflikty o suroviny přímý vliv pohyb cen primárních komodit na světovém trhu. K analýze byla vybrána válka v Demokratické republice Kongo v letech 1998 až 2003. Na této případové studii bylo testováno, zda existuje kauzální vztah mezi cenou zdroje a intenzitou boje o něj.
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to identify if raw materials world prices have a direct impact on resource wars. I focused on the war in the Democratic republic of Congo between 1998 and 2003. On this case study I tried to find out any causality between the resource price and the intensity of struggle for it.
