Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je předložit celkový pohled na výskyt Archaistického stylu v Klasickém období v Řecku. První část je věnována důvodům, proč se Archaismus objevil a jaké faktory ve společnosti a v jeho povaze mohly zapříčinit jeho udržení v umění. Dále je nastíněno jeho následné užití v Helénismu a v Římském období, kde dokončil svůj vývoj. Druhá část této práce se věnuje konkrétním příkladům umění z toho období a zkoumá, jaké výrazy Archaismu na nich byly použity. Ačkoliv hlavním zaměřením tohoto výzkumu je sochařství, jedna kapitola se také věnuje vázovému malířství, především Panathenajským amforám, a další drobnému umění se zaměřením na toreutiku.

Abstract:

This thesis aims to present an overview on the appearance of Archaism in the Classical period of Greece. The first part presents the reasons, which may have caused its emergence, and which factors originating in society and its own nature affected its persistence in art. Furthermore, is foreshadowed its subsequent application in the Hellenistic period and Roman times. The second part of this thesis examines particular examples from the Classical period and investigates, which elements of Archaism were in use. Although the main focus of this study is sculpture, a chapter concerning vase-painting concentrated on Panathenaic amphorae is included as well as a chapter regarding minor arts.
