Housing estate (1949-1990) from the perspective of landscape architecture

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá problematikou výstavby panelových sídlišť v České republice. Řeší historické, ekonomické a sociologické pozadí vzniku hromadných obytných souborů, a etapy jejich proměn mezi lety 1949 - 1990; zároveň se snaží popsat přístup k zakládání vnitroblokové zeleně, a  popisuje její nenahraditelné funkce. Druhá část práce analyzuje sídliště Vltava v Českých Budějovicích, věnuje se jeho historii, fungování v rámci města a hodnocení zeleně. Zároveň mu navrhuje nové zahradně-architektonické řešení, které by nahradilo stávající, s nepříliš uspokojivým dojem.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with problematics of panel housing estates, their historical, economical and sociological background. The thesis depicts the history, development and construction between 1949 - 1990, it also focuses on founding and maintenance of the urban greenery. The second part of the thesis analyzes one of the newest and biggest housing estates in Ceske Budejovice, sidliste Vltava. It also provides a new architectural design, as a substitution of the current unsatisfactory state.
