Eurozone Debt Crisis and its Impact on the Banking Sector

Abstract:

Diploma thesis titled " Eurozone Debt Crisis and its Impact on the Banking Sector" deals with defining the causes of the debt crisis, evaluating its progress, anti-crisis measures, their assessment and provides possible solutions to prevent similar crises in the future. The first chapter focuses on the theoretical definition of macroeconomic terms. The second chapter focuses on the banking sector and the ECB's measures against the crisis. The third chapter analyzes the anti-crisis measures and evaluates their effects. The fourth chapter provides possible solutions for the future.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca s názvom „Dlhová kríza krajín eurozóny a jej vplyv na bankový sektor“ sa zaoberá definovaním príčin dlhovej krízy, vyhodnotením jej priebehu, protikrízovými opatreniami, ich zhodnoteniu a prináša možné riešenia ako v budúcnosti predchádzať podobným krízovým situáciám. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na teoretické vymedzenie makroekonomických pojmov. Druhá kapitola sa zameriava na bankový sektor a opatrenia ECB v čase krízy. Tretia kapitola analyzuje protikrízové opatrenia a zhodnocuje ich účinky. Štvrtá kapitola prináša možné riešenia do budúcnosti.
