The spatial productivity of microregions in Czechia

Abstract:

The master thesis is focused on the issue of a spatial productivity of the microregions in Czechia. A goal of the work is to summarize accessable knowledge for this topic and their empirical confirmation, or disconfirmation, in the context of Czechia. As a first was theoretical specification of the issue, then was to the dataset applied a statistical analysis. An outputs of the work are among results of the analysis also cartograms, which depict the issue for all microregions and so is possible to see intermicroregional differences on the state level. In the work are include also the case studies of chosen mikroregions. The main results are findings that in the case of Czechia there is no possibility to confirm or to disconfirm the factors processing for sure, on the side of a specialization or a diversification of a regional economy, but there is probably coexistence both of them together.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou prostorové produktivity mikroregionů v Česku. Cílem práce je shrnutí dostupných poznatků na dané téma a jejich empirické prokázání, nebo vyvrácení, v kontextu Česka. Základem práce je teoretické ukotvení, následně byla vykonána statistická analýza dostupných dat. Výstupy diplomové práce jsou kromě výsledků analýzy taky kartogramy, které zachycují problematiku pro všechny mikroregiony a je tak možné vidět meziregionální rozdíly na národní úrovni. Práce rovněž obsahuje případové studie vybraných mikroregionů. Hlavními výsledky práce jsou zjištění, že v podmínkách Česka nejde jednoznačně potvrdit nebo vyvrátit působení faktorů na straně specializace, nebo diverzifikace regionální ekonomiky, ale jde pravděpodobně o jejich vzájemnou koexistenci.
