Analysis of the life career of seniors

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje analýze životní dráhy seniorů. Senioři jsou významnou sociální skupinou současné společnosti a jejich životní dráha se stává biodromálním paradigmatem sociální pedagogiky. Teoretická východiska práce vycházejí z aktuálních poznatků o problematice stáří a jeho projevů, o procesu stárnutí a kvalitě života seniora. Empirická část má charakter kvantitativního výzkumu za využití statistické procedury a techniky dotazníku vlastní konstrukce. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 200 respondentů z domovů sociálních služeb (Domov pro seniory v Mostě a Domov pro seniory v Meziboří). Výsledky výzkumu obohacují teorii a praxi sociálních věd a ve vztahu k sociální pedagogice se jedná o doporučení nejen pro reminiscenční terapii se seniory, ale i pro osoby pracující s touto skupinou seniorů. V rámci diskuse byla komparována problematika seniorského života ve specifických podmínkách rezidenčních zařízení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is devoted to the analysis of the life path of seniors. Seniors are an important social group in contemporary society, and their life path becomes a biodromous paradigm of social pedagogy. The theoretical basis of the work is based on current knowledge about the problem of old age and its manifestations, about the aging process and the quality of life of the elderly. The empirical part has the character of quantitative research using statistical procedures and self-constructed questionnaire techniques. The research group consisted of 200 respondents from social service homes (Home for the elderly in Most and Home for the elderly in Meziboří). The research results enrich the theory and practice of social sciences, and in relation to social pedagogy, these are recommendations not only for reminiscence therapy with seniors, but also for people working with this group of seniors. As part of the discussion, the issue of senior life in the specific conditions of residential facilities was compared.
