Acquisition of 3D data for virtual reality rehabilitation software

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá sběrem a analýzou 3D dat pro rehabilitační software určený pro rehabilitaci pacientů s roztroušenou sklerózou, který má za cíl zvýšit dostupnost terapie pro pacienty s touto chorobou. Cílem práce je umožnit záznam vzorových cviků pomocí běžně dostupných akcelerometrů a trackerů a následná analýza pohybu pomocí vhodných hodnotících parametrů. Součástí práce je také integrace tohoto řešení do výsledné aplikace a ověření, zda je možné provádět analýzu pohybu pouze na základě znalosti orientace použitých senzorů bez nutnosti použití sledovacích stanic.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on data acquisition and data analysis for rehabilitation software used by patients with multiple sclerosis. Intent of the software is to increase the availability of therapy for patients with this disease. This thesis aims to be able to record movements with available accelerometers and trackers and afterward analyze movements in real-time. Analysis should be based on appropriate evaluation parameters. Part of this thesis is the integration of this analysis into the final rehabilitation application and verification if the evaluation of movement can be done based only on the orientation of sensors without the need for tracking stations.
