TED Talks: Communicating Science to Broad Audiences
Abstract:
This diploma thesis is focused on the genre analysis of the selected series of TED talks as a genre that serves to open various scientific topics to the broad audiences. The main aim of this analysis is exploring the strategies of the TED speakers, by means of which they attract the listeners and strive to persuade them about the importance of a given issue.
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na žánrovou analýzu vybrané série přednášek typu TED, které slouží k otevření různých odborných a vědeckých témat široké veřejnosti. Cílem analýzy je především zkoumání strategií, kterými se vystupující snaží vtáhnout posluchače do problému a přesvědčit je, že se jich daná problematika týká.
